This seminar will be presented by Opus International Consultants and will cover archaeological and heritage guidelines.

Attendees will be given a good overview of their requirements according to the Resource managementAct1991 (RMA) and the.HeritageNew Zealand Pouhere TaongaAct2014 (HNZAct). This will allow the attendees to have the ability to better understand and/or apply their knowledge of archaeology and heritage within their workplace.

Presenter:

Srey Bowron-Muth

Srey has 14 years’ experience working in the archaeology and heritage sector. Prior to working at Opus, Srey has worked in a variety of contexts including as a Research Assistant at the University of Otago for Southern Pacific Archaeological Research (SPAR) and in Collection Management roles at the Canterbury Museum. Srey has worked in a number of large, multidisciplinary projects both in New Zealand and internationally. Her experiences at Opus include working on infrastructure projects in New Zealand including water engineering, roading projects and the Christchurch rebuild. Her field work experiences include an Iron age site in North East Thailand and recording skull shrines in western Solomon Islands.
