The PCTMSL/Bureau is sponsoring a tides workshop aimed at raising the level of tidal knowledge of those people involved in marine operations, hydrographic surveying and data collection.
The workshop will be conducted at the Tidal Unit, Bureau of Meteorology, Adelaide, and will consist of a mixture of theory and hands-on sessions. It is scheduled to run over three days, 15-17th May, 2017 with a field trip on the 18th May 2017.
Participants will be encouraged to share information in the form of short presentations.
The attendance fee will be $1,200 GST inclusive, which will cover all lectures and practical sessions, lecture notes, and copies of relevant software. Notebook computers will be supplied.
Participant numbers will be a maximum of 8. If there is sufficient interest, a further workshop will be conducted in 2018.
The Bureau office is less than a kilometre south of the city centre at 431 King William St., Adelaide. The Adelaide CBD offers a range of accommodation options that are a 5-15 minute walk away.
