New Zealand surveyors work across a range of disciplines and need a broad education. 

NZIS encourages entry into surveying degree and technician qualifications through several providers. Strong links are maintained by the Institute with the various educational providers.
Consultation takes place with these organisations in regard to the relevance and demand for the qualifications offered and the membership requirements of NZIS.
