Napier Seminar Series - Vertical Datum Improvement

In June 2016 LINZ released New Zealand Vertical Datum 2016 (NZVD2016). This improved datum supersedes NZVD2009, providing more accurate orthometric heights and vertical datum relationship models which provide better constancy with the 13 historic local vertical Datums.

Rachelle Winefield - Geodetic Surveyor at Land Information New Zealand

Rachelle Winefield is a Geodetic Surveyor at the National Geodetic Office at Land Information New Zealand. Her interests include vertical reference systems. Rachelle holds a BSurv from Otago (2007) and a MSc (geophysics; to be conferred in December 2016), from Victoria University of Wellington.

Rachelle is a member of NZIS and current chair of the Positioning and Measurement Stream.

Bruce Robinson - Director at Global Survey Limited-

Director of Global Survey Ltd (Leica Geosystems, NZ agent.) Special interest around changing GNSS technology and its integration with, IT, and Communication technology to improve spatial data capture and analysis for client delivery. Previously a licensed cadastral Surveyor both in New Zealand and South Africa.
