Save the date and clear the calendar!!!

HEB and BBO welcome members of S+SNZ to view the Waikato River Bridge which is currently under construction. Find out what was involved in assembling the 2,650 tonnes of steel including the striking design with no piers in the river. Are you interested in finding out how the lighting and structural features that will minimise the impact on the native long-tailed bats and the surrounding environment were constructed? Come along to this tour to find out. It will be held at 5.30pm, on the 29th Of November, meeting at the HEBs site office 211 Peacockes Road, Fitzroy, Hamilton 3206.

The details for after the event are currently being finalised, but there may be some speakers and a chance to have a bite to eat / socialise to end the year.

Please send RSVP’s to, S+SNZ Chair, Phil Pirie ppirie@bbo.co.nz, by COB on the 22nd of November. Minimum numbers of 15 are required for this event to go ahead, and a maximum of 40.

All participants must bring their own PPE: including long trousers and sleeves, Hi Vis, hard hat, safety glasses and boots.

This event is also open to non-members if you have other staff you wish to bring along.
