We are looking for a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor to represent New Zealand Institute of Surveyors (NZIS) within the Advanced Survey and Titles Services(ASaTS) project team. NZIS has partnered with our preferred recruitment partner Eighty4 Recruitment to find an outstanding Licensed Cadastral Surveyor who is passionate about the new Advanced Survey and Titles Service as we move on from Landonline. This iconic role will be incredibly exciting with the overall responsibility for integration between the private sector’s needs and the Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) project team tasked with delivering this dynamic and innovative project.

ASaTS Lead Consulting Surveyor:

NZIS is the support organisation for the surveying and spatial profession in New Zealand. LINZ maintains the integrity, and enhances the delivery of the New Zealand survey and land title system. This system is one of New Zealand government’s larger systems and considered to be part of the national infrastructure with over 13,000 professional users across the country. This system means New Zealanders know exactly what property they own. We do this by having an efficient survey and title processing operation, so buying and selling property is easy for New Zealanders.

A major replacement and enhancement programme is underway by LINZ and the NZIS Lead Consulting Surveyor will be the liaison between the Advanced Survey and Titles Service, known as ASaTS, project team and NZIS. You will be contributing to the design and development of new and enhanced system functionality; contributing to customer communications, training programmes and education; ensuring that NZIS is briefed and leading on appropriate matters. You will ensure that the LINZ programme team is informed of NZIS and practitioner views.

You will report to the NZIS Council and Board through the CEO and LINZ ASaTS Project Leader. A competitive market driven salary of $130k to $150k will be offered. The position is Wellington based but other locations can be considered and supported throughout New Zealand.
