Surveying and Spatial New Zealand (S+SNZ) Cadastral Stream is holding a one-day seminar in Auckland on Monday, 26 November 2018.
Good survey practice in cadastral surveys underpins our land transfer system. Good practice, like common sense, is not always used especially with the advent of modern measurement techniques and software, some of the good survey practices of cadastral surveying are being lost. It is thought that experienced cadastral surveyors now spend less time in the field with young surveyors than they did in the past and this is leading to some good practice techniques not being passed down. Additionally, the technology step in GNSS and digital data can mean re-work later on if the operator is not experienced. This seminar is a perfect opportunity for young professionals to learn what robust survey practice entails which can help lessen re-work requirements later on.
By attending this event you will hear about the accepted best practice by experienced and highly regarded cadastral surveyors. This will reinforce your current good practices and highlight areas of improvement to help you become a great cadastral surveyor.
