LINZ has opportunities for one surveyor in Christchurch and another in either Christchurch or Hamilton.
The Operations team is part of the Property Rights business group that ensures surveys being integrated into the cadastre satisfy the regulatory standards set by the Surveyor-General. The majority of the Cadastral Surveyor team within Operations has recent private practice experience, which together with being exposed to the day to day application of the Rules for Cadastral Survey puts us in a great position to feed back practical difficulties being experienced by surveyors to the Office of the Surveyor-General. Operations is customer focused so we are continuously seeking ways to improve service and the efficiency of our processes while ensuring quality is not compromised.
The role:
You’ll be reporting to the Principal Cadastral Surveyor and will be one of the ‘go to’ experts for technical survey advice both within Operations and to other LINZ business groups, supporting our survey staff and providing advice to external surveyors helping ensure all outputs meet statutory requirements. You will be contributing to and driving continuous improvement, education and outstanding customer service.
